Arizona Western - Recruiting Update
TE Emmanuel Bibbs - Bibbs committed to Iowa State back in June and remains committed to the Cyclones, but recently visited Oklahoma, so it remains to be seen where he will finally end up. In addition to his offers from those two schools, the talented tight end prospect also has offers from Arkansas, Memphis, San Diego State, Northern Iowa, Texas Tech and Western Michigan. Bibbs earned Second Team All-WSFL honors following the season.
LB Raahmil Brantley - Brantly can play any of the linebacker spots, but excelled outside for the Matadors. He will vsiit Florida A&M next week.
RB Lemont Buice - Talented tailback who can run inside very well. Buice will visit Florida A&M on December 15th.
TE Cameron Clear - Committed to Texas A&M. Has tripped to College Station (11/16) as well as Mississippi (10/13) and Oklahoma (11/23). He also had offers from Mississippi State and San Diego State. Clear is big and a great blocker and very athletic for his size.
DE Kevin Fortson - Fortson had a solid season in the defensive line rotation and has garnered an offer from Florida A&M and will join Brantly on December 15th in officially visiting the Rattlers.
DE Randy Gregory - Great looking prospect who can pressure the edge with his hand on the ground or a walk-up, pass-rushing linebacker spot, depending on the defensive scheme. Gregory committed to Purdue out of high school and planned to sign with the Boilermakers after he finished up his coursework at Arizona Western next month, however, his recruitment blew up and he has committed to Nebraska after visiting there in late October. In addition to those two offers, he also has full rides on the table from Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Louisville, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Utah and Washington as well.
LB D'Vante Henry - The long and lean prospect has offers from Oregon State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Utah and West Virginia. Henry has already visited Utah (11/16) and he will visit West Virginia this weekend and then Texas Tech on December 15th before making his decision.
OT Jaylen Hunter - Hunter has plenty of offers to choose from including Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Hawaii, Louisiana, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, South Florida, Syracuse, Troy, ULM, Utah State, Washington State and Western Kentucky. He plans to visit Marshall on December 8th and Syracuse on January 18th. He's also hoping to set up an official with South Florida as well.
LB Jeffrey Lark - Lark is still waiting on his first offer. He did visit Texas A&M in November and they could be an option down the line. Lark played inside for the Matadors this season, but he could play outside if necessary.
S Pat Martin - Martin is a good looking safety prospect that has offers from Arkansas State, Memphis, Nevada, New Mexico State, Oregon State and South Alabama. He visited OSU back in September and will take a trip to Arkansas State next week.
QB Tanner McEvoy - McEvoy's name is just starting to circulate with teams across the country. He can leave in December and will have three years to play three. He has had Oregon in to see him a couple of times since late November and Texas has also made inquiries. He doesn't have any offers yet, but expect them to come once coaching staffs start to find out about his availability.
TE Greg Reese - Arizona Western was loaded with talented tight ends and Reese also received offers from the likes of Utah, Indiana, Louisville and Memphis. He visited the Utes in early September and committed there a month later.
OG Dionte Savage - Savage has Syracuse looking at him and he will visit Upstate New York on January 18th to see what the Orangemen have to offer.
CB Cassius Sendish - Sendish had a solid season in the secondary and has full rides from the likes of Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, South Alabama and Toledo. He's already visited Kansas (9/8), Indiana (8/25) and Toledo (11/24) and will take a trip to Kansas State next week (12/15).
CB Nate Willis - One of the top JUCO cover-corners in the country this season, Willis has offers from Baylor, Mississippi, Mississippi State, South Florida, West Virginia, Arizona State, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Memphis, Nevada, New Mexico and South Alabama. He has already visited Mississippi State (11/16) and will visit West Virginia this weekend. He's also working on setting up visits with Ohio State and Baylor in January.
DE Sam Wren - Wren led the Matadors in sacks this season with 14 and has full rides from Oklahoma State, Washington State, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Houston, Louisiana, Memphis, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico State, Oregon State, Texas State, Utah State and Western Kentucky. Wren is scheduled to visit Washington State this weekend and Oklahoma State on December 15th and will make his decision shortly after that.
